Set again in the Lake District of England but with much action up on the fells rather than on the lake after Swallow sinks on hitting Pike Rock. Iluustrated by Ransome. Does not include the author’s note of 1958 on the origin of the stories unlike the next, 28th impression of 1968 but is dedicated to Elizabeth Abercrombie.
