Breath

Breath is a powerful coming-of-age story narrated by Bruce Pike, a paramedic looking back on his reckless adolescence in a small, isolated coastal town in 1970s Western Australia. As a quiet, introverted teenager, Bruce forms a tight bond with an uninhibited, fearless boy named Loonie. The duo’s ordinary lives shift dramatically when they discover the raw power of the ocean and catch the attention of “Barney” Sando, an enigmatic, aging pro-surfer who becomes their mentor.
