Meyer Eidelson is a well known urban naturalist with fingers in many environmental pies. For several years he wrote the Nature watch column for St. Kilda Today.
As a “Discover Your City” tutor for the Council of Adult Education he has led many trusting groups into the stranger corners of Melbourne. In 1992 he co-ordinated a successful campaign to have the S.t Kilda breakwater declared a wildlife area for the protection of the fairy penguins.
His children’s book about a fairy penguin, Alfreda and theNastyGunk will be published in English and Japanese editions in 1995 and will. also be illustrated by Sharyn Madder.
Sharyn is a Melbourne illustrator whose delightful artwork has appeared in a wide variety of books and magazines over the years.
