Native Plants for Rock Gardens

Plants in this booklet are under test at the Canberra Botanic Gardens and are proving suitable for use in Canberra.

However, this does not imply that they are available from the Gardens or the Department’s Yarralumla Garden Centre. Indeed, unless otherwise noted, as in the section at the back of this booklet, most of them are not readily available from nurseries.

The object of the booklet is to encourage their horticultural use. The text is derived from an article by the Curator of the Canberra Botanic Gardens, Mr J. Wrigley, first published in “Australian Plants”.
