Yosemite Valley

The great rocks of Yosemite are the most compelling formation of their kind. We should not casually pass them by for they are the very heart of the earth speaking to us.

You cannot say that you have known them until you have seen them in sun and shade,
watched the cloud shadows flow across them, or the clouds congeal around them.
You must know them in the severity of dawn, in blazing noon, and in the nostalgic afterglow of dusk.
