The Book of Durrow: A Medieval Masterpiece at Trinity College Dublin

Written by monks in Early Christian Ireland, the Book of Durrow is the earliest surviving fully-decorated insular Gospel book.

This volume provides a guided tour of the masterpiece by the Keeper of Manuscripts at Trinity College Library in Dublin, with some 40 colour reproductions taken specifically for this book, accompanied by interpretation of the pictures and symbols within and surrounding the ornamented letters.
