Harry Memmott comes from a long line of potters. His grandfather, James Sandison, had a world-wide reputation as a potter and Memmott grew up in the environment of a family pottery, which was later conducted by his uncle, George Sandison. Harry Memmott continues to search for new means of expressing form and colour through the mediums of clay and fire in his mountain studio in the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria.
