Marlow: A Trip Back in Time

Two enthusiastic collectors of Old Marlow postcards, photographs and memorabilia serve up some wonderful glimpses of the Town’s colourful past history.

A few of these pictures have been featured in Michael’s popular weekly column in the Marlow Free Press, but most are rare items and many are previously unpublished. The “speciality” in Ray’s collection is Wethereds where he once worked, and he contributes some memories ofthe former High Street Brewery and workforce. Michael used to be Chairman of Marlow FC (during a period in the late 1980s and early 1990s) and he includes several nostalgic pictures of some of the great teams from the Club’s golden years in the 1890s and early in the last Century.
