Magic Worlds of Fantasy

Produced by the Photographer–editor and friend of Pablo Picasso, David Douglas Duncan , this presentation of art based on fantasy includes the work of four amateur artists –

Dorle Lindner, an English housewife born in wartime Berlin, who engraves images from a secret world in outer space; Dr Oscar Forel, a Swiss psychiatrist, who photographs abstract art found in tree bark; Hsueh Shao Tang, a Chinese chef who fled from the Communists in Peking, whose creations are made from fragments of postage stamps; and Ariane, a Belgian Baroness, who photographs secret facets of life in her forest garden. The book includes an eight page art selection Souvenirs of the Magic World given to the author by Pablo Picasso as token of his friendship.
