Introduction to Hydrometeorology

By JP Bruce & RH Clark

$15.00

The application of meteorology to hydrological problems is described in this book.

It is aimed at two groups of students: those studying hydrology and those specialising in meteorology. Although the physical concepts are limited to those of undergraduate physics and engineering, the book will also be of value to practising engineers and meteorologists. The physical nature of the meteorologic and hydrologic phenomena and the methods of observing the characteristics used to describe these phenomena are outlined. The more frequently used analysis procedures and their application to design and operational problems are then explained. Man’s influence on the hydrologic cycle and the effect of climatic trends on water resource development are dealt with in the latter part of the text.
