David Snoddy, paunchy, carnivorous, high-school teacher on burnout leave, thinks he’s happily married to sexy Stephanie forever until one day she throws him out to set up house with her handsome young aerobics instructor.

Suddenly Snoddy finds himself surrounded by murder and mayhem, angry arachnids and apprentice prostitutes, and a young man called Bruce with gender alignment problems.

And, unexpectedly, while he’s enjoying the benefits of modern psychiatry, finding new ways to swindle the education system, and seeking some good old-fashioned heterosexual affection, Snoddy finds himself enjoying a whole new lease of life.
