Richard Tate, brilliant young heart surgeon, is seconded from Australia to assist a struggling Malaysian surgical department.

He operates on and cures the infant son of Chiew, wealthy head of an infamous Malaysian drug cartel. The two men become firm friends. Tate meets Faridah, daughter of Tun Omar Abass, the wealthy and powerful brother of a Sultan. A relationship develops between them despite Tate being involved wiht Susan Grey – an Australian paediatrician. Faridah’s parents disapprove and the affair is terminated by them. Not long after, Tate is murdered. A prolonged search follows and revenge exacted when the killer is identified.
