Blood on the Snow

Blood on the Snow finds Lydia and Peter, the anarchists of A Death out of Season, now committed Bolsheviks, in the chaos of famine and civil war that follows the Russian Revolution.

For Peter, a prominent official of the secret police, blood is the price of a nation’s violent birth: but to Lydia, first, a guerrilla commander and now Peter’s agent on assignment in Berlin, the price is almost too high.
