It shows the continuity of Aboriginal and Islander culture as it has survived over thousands of years. Today, traditional beliefs, values and lifestyles are thriving in many communities. Furthermore, there is a resurgence of traditional values among Aboriginal people in urban environments and in those areas outside the traditional centres.
