This book is set and created in Gunditjmara country. Within that country is the modern city of Warrnambool on the Southern Coast of Australia. Uncle Locky Eccles says, “The idea of the book was to bring our past and our people together, to show what life may have been like thousands of years ago in a fantastical way. Aboriginal Cultures were strong and well developed. Aboriginal Communities were self-determining, and Aboriginal Children were nurtured and protected.”
