The subject of elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication deals with the lubrication of elastic-contacts.

In recent years it has been recognised that many loaded contacts of low geometrical conformity such as gears, rolling contact bearings and cams frequently behave as though they are hydrodynamically lubricated and this is the first book devoted exclusively to this subject.
