France, present day. Once again, fate throws Essington Holt, hero of To Catch a Forger, and Feathers, Essington’s school chum, together. A Yugoslav lady has been axed to death in Australia, following anonymous threats sent from Entrevaux, and Feathers is the one to deliver the news.
